The electric scraper-type self-cleaning filter easily resolves these challenges through its advanced self-cleaning operation. With its notable technical advantages and low operating costs, the electric scraper-type self-cleaning filter is gradually replacing traditional manual filters in many applications, including vibrating screens, bag filters, basket filters, and certain backwash-type self-cleaning filters.
Working Principle
Liquid flows into the filter through the inlet and passes inward through the outer surface of the filter element, with the lower end of the filter element connected to the outlet for liquid discharge. When a certain amount of impurities accumulates on the filter element surface, a cleaning cycle is initiated either on a timed schedule or at a preset differential pressure. A reduction gear motor drives a scraper positioned obliquely against the filter element’s outer surface to rotate, scraping impurities off the filter element surface. The impurities move away from the filter element along the scraper, flow downward with the liquid to the bottom of the filter, and a rotating sweep plate directs heavy bottom impurities into the dirt collection chamber. Impurities accumulate in the chamber and at the filter bottom; the drain valve opens automatically at set intervals to discharge high-concentration impurity liquid through the drain port. Residual liquid can be recovered if required.
