Lithium carbonate production from spodumene ore or brine requires reliable solid-liquid separation during sulphate purification, impurity precipitation, and bicarbonate polishing stages. JOECHRE candle filters are used to remove fine solids generated during magnesium and calcium precipitation, as well as during lithium carbonate crystallization. Their high filtration efficiency protects ion exchange and downstream purification circuits from fouling. Integrated cake washing and low hold-up volume minimize lithium losses and allow solids to be directed to tailings without returning valuable product to the leach circuit. This ensures stable operation and consistent carbonate purity in both hard rock and brine-based refining routes.
